Founder

Chris Vassallo holds an MBA from Henley Management College (Henley-on-Thames UK). In 2014, he lobbied the government of Malta to create a legal framework for the Bitcoin invention. This concept developed into the Malta National Blockchain Strategy Memorandum which was approved by the Cabinet in March 2017. He built the original team that produced this strategy and this endeavor positioned Malta as the leading global jurisdiction to develop the Decentralized Leger Technology (DLT) industry.

Neal Camilleri is the Co-Founder of Project Freedom, a blockchain based social impact enterprise. He is also involved in the management and advisory boards of a number of local and foreign organisations related to sustainability, community building, well being, and circular economics. ACT, Prout Global (international and local branches), Ananda Kalyani, The Bubble, are to name a few of these organisations. Neal is a highly driven individual and is a versatile worker, quick to learn and implement skills needed to deliver. His experience travelling and working with different organisations have helped him to build a large network of communities, and together they develop and implement strategies to solve issues around the world.

His goal is to bring awareness and change in people’s lives, leading them towards more sustainable and holistic ways of living, both for personal benefit and all-round welfare in society and its encompassing environments.

Professor Joseph Falzon is currently the Head of the Department of Banking and Finance and the former Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy at the University of Malta. He holds a PhD degree in economics from Northwestern University. He is the co-editor of “Strategic Challenges in European Banking”, and the editor of “Bank Performance, Risk and Securitization”, and “Bank Stability, Sovereign Debt and Derivatives”. He has served as a consultant to several organisations including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Services, Economic Policy Division, Malta Tourism Authority, the Bank of Valletta and the Central Bank of Malta. His research interests include hedge fund strategies, portfolio management, trading futures strategies, microfinance, and economic development.
